Exercising the right of withdrawal: timing and methods

The customer can reconsider the purchase and return the items without giving a reason, within 14 calendar days from the date the goods are received (art. 52 of Legislative Decree 206 of 6 September 2005 – Consumer Code). The goods must be returned intact and not worn, used or washed, in the same condition in which they were received, with the original packaging and labels not removed, enclosing the delivery document and the return reference inside the package.

How to make a return

Within the period indicated above, the customer must give notice of the intention to withdraw from the contract by sending an email to info@umbertocarro.it. Carro Umberto srl will promptly confirm receipt of the withdrawal by email, with the reference to include in the package. The product must be shipped back in its original condition (as described above) within 14 days of notifying the intention to return.

Make sure the return is well packaged and meets all the conditions (new, unworn, unwashed, resalable), including the delivery documents and the return reference.

Always mark “Return Goods” clearly on the outer packaging of your parcel and, most importantly, make sure the “return goods” option is ticked on the customs declaration form, to prevent any import charges and taxes.

Returning the products is the customer’s responsibility and must be done by express courier with shipment tracking, at the customer’s full cost. The shipment, up to the confirmation of receipt in the warehouse of Carro Umberto Srl, is entirely the customer’s responsibility.

Important: if you received a defective item, contact support by writing to info@umbertocarro.it and describing the defect found.

Return cost

In Italy and abroad, return shipping costs are charged to the customer and must be made by express courier, trackable and insured. Keep the return shipping receipt until you receive confirmation of delivery from Umberto Carro Positano.

The shipping costs for delivering the product and any incidental costs incurred will not be reimbursed and remain the responsibility of the buyer. The costs of returning the goods are in any case borne by the customer. Parcels with collection fees, including import duties, will not be accepted.

Refund

The refund will be made within 14 calendar days from the moment we are informed of the customer’s decision to exercise the right of withdrawal. We reserve the right to withhold the refund until the goods arrive at our warehouse and are checked by our staff. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the initial transaction.

The refund does not include the original shipping costs. No refund will be made for goods that appear to have been worn, washed, or are not in original condition.
